Vision

Rochester becomes a highly attractive city for individuals of African descent to live in, and GIB Foundation becomes regarded as Rochester's leading organization for elevating individuals of African descent whereby their abilities/skills, contributions, and potential are recognized, celebrated, nurtured, and utilized in a fair and equitable manner.

Mission

Improve the quality of life for individuals of African descent, their families, and the overall Community in the Greater Rochester Metropolitan Area by providing direct resources in the areas of healthy living awareness, economic development, leadership development, and advancement of education, and act as a catalyst for the creation and development of a network of strategic partners focused on positively affecting their wellbeing now and laying a foundation for success in the future.

Values, Principles & Guidelines

In pursuit of our Vision and Mission, we will operate in the following manner:

+ We shall strive to experience continuous growth in beneficial community services and financial resources

+ We shall maintain a favorable operating environment that encourages prudent risk taking, innovation, and creativity with emphasis on learning from our experiences.

+ We shall operate our organization in a way that will encourage, recognize, and reward superior performance for both affiliated and non-affiliated individuals within our Community and thereby inspire others to maximize their human potential to achieve.

+ We shall communicate honestly and openly without misrepresentation and not use organizational resources for personal benefit.

+ We shall collaborate with our strategic partners, volunteers, and paid suppliers of products and services as key members of our extended team in a fair and equitable manner.

Spelman College Glee Club Concert

6:30pm 1050 East Ave, Rochester, NY 14607, USA

The Glee Club is the premier performance organization for the College and sings for most campus events. It has had the unique opportunity to perform with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, a world- renowned opera singer Jessye Norman, and as a part of the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. celebration.
