Dr. Kevin Williams is currently Director, Technical Solutions and VP of Advanced Materials and 3D Printing Division at the Eastman Kodak Company.  Dr. Williams’ time (26 years) at Kodak spans a successful career as a Principal Investigator in the Kodak Research laboratories, Group Leader of the Research Materials Scale-up group and Department Head of the Materials Characterization Center in the Analytical Sciences Division.  Dr. Williams was Director of Materials Science for 15 years, before his current role. As a practicing scientist, Dr. Williams’ most significant contributions came in the technical field of Infrared Dye technology.  That platform technology is leveraged in many traditional and current high profit Kodak products.  During his tenure as Director of Materials Science, Dr. Williams helped build an innovative environment where new technologies were created including several of the core technologies that fuel the growth of newly launched novel business ventures for the corporation. 

In addition to his Kodak career, Dr. Williams was the Founding Board Chair of Exploration Elementary Charter School.  Dr. Williams is still a Trustee and an Executive team member.  The school is now in its second year, providing the Rochester community a differentiated STEM-based educational opportunity for young learners.

Dr. Williams’ formal education began at Lincoln University in Pennsylvania where he received a B.A. in Chemistry.  After Lincoln University, Dr. Williams received a Ph. D degree in Organic Chemistry at the University of Pittsburgh.  Following the completion of his Ph. D, Dr. Williams continued his training as a National Science Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow studying under the guidance of renowned Professor of Chemistry, Dr. George M. Whitesides.  In 1992, Dr. Williams relocated to Rochester to join the Eastman Kodak Company.

Dr. Williams is married to Diana R. Williams, M. D.  Together the Williams’s have four daughters, all in various stages of their respective professional training or careers.

Dr. Williams is an avid golfer, enjoys reading, gardening, biking and weight training.  Dr. Williams, is a proud member of Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity.

Dr. Williams has been a Trustee of the Gamma Iota Boulé Foundation since 2016.

Dr. Turner was born in Brooklyn, New York, the second of two children, to Dr. Thomas M. Turner and Shirley Turner. Dr. Turner and his sister, Dr. Lisa Bennett, were raised in the New York City boroughs of Brooklyn and Queens.  After graduating from the Bronx High School of Science in New York City as a National Merit Scholar, Dr. Turner attended Howard University for three and a half years. After being honorably discharged from the United States Army Reserves, Dr. Turner completed his B.S. degree in Environmental Health Science at York College/City University in Queens, New York, and then completed a combined Medical degree and Master in Public Health degree program (MD/MPH) at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in Camden, New Jersey (now Rutgers University Medical School), and the University of Medicine and Dentistry School of Public Health in Piscataway, New Jersey (now Rutgers School of Public Health). Dr. Turner then completed a residency in Family Medicine at Duke/Southern Regional AHEC in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Dr. Turner practiced Family Medicine for five years before returning back to training, completing a second residency in Pathology at the University of Florida, College of Medicine, while also finishing a second Master degree in Health Administration (MHA) at the University of South Florida, College of Public Health (Tampa, Florida). He subsequently completed fellowships in general surgical pathology at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio (San Antonio Texas), oncologic surgical pathology at Roswell Park Cancer Institute (Buffalo, New York), and breast and gynecologic pathology at Yale School of Medicine (New Haven, Connecticut).

Today, Dr. Turner serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, New York. Dr. Turner is a breast and gynecologic pathologist, and provides private urgent care medical consultation services in his spare time. Dr. Turner has interests in and has authored or co-authored several publications in the area of precision medicine and breast cancer diagnosis. Dr. Turner serves on the University Faculty Senate, the University Medical Faculty Council, and the Medical school Admission and Interview Committees.

Dr. Turner and his wife, Dr. Stella King-Turner, an Associate Professor in the Departments of Clinical Psychiatry and Family Medicine at URMC, are parents of three children: twins Alyssa and Benjamin, age 10, and Colin, age 7. Dr. Turner is active in his fraternity Sigma Pi Phi, serving as Grammateus in the Gamma Iota Boule Chapter and on the Board of Trustees in Gamma Iota Boule Foundation. Dr. Turner also serves on the Board of Directors for the Black Physicians Network of Greater Rochester and on the Board of Directors for Jordan Health. In his spare time, Dr. Turner enjoys acting as Den Leader in The Pittsford Cub Scouts Pack 341. Other spare time activities include spiritual uplifting, good conversation, music, sports, and reading.

As CFO and vice president of administrative services, at Monroe Community College, Hezekiah (Heze) Simmons is a seasoned financial executive with 30+ years of experience in multiple industries - higher education, technology training, manufacturing and outsourcing.  His career reflects ever increasing growth and management responsibilities that demonstrate performance effectiveness. 

A major contributor at the C - executive level leading initiatives to set strategic direction, master plans, capture and build on new opportunities to improve proficiency, cash flow and asset management while enhancing and maintaining quality - a change agent.   He has a B.S. in Chemistry, cum laude from Johnson C. Smith University and a M.B.A. in Finance from Harvard Business School.

Heze is a member of several professional organizations; NYS Community College Business Association, Eastern Association of College and University Business Officers  (EACUBO), Financial Executive International (Rochester, NY Chapter) and Jefferson Avenue Childhood Development Center.  Mr. Simmons also sits on the board of directors of East House and served as the Moderator for the Presbytery of the Genesee Valley. 

Heze and his wife, AnnMarie, are the proud parents of 2 adult children, 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.  Heze and AnnMarie are residence in the Town of Pittsford.

Matthew Augustine was born in Georgia and raised in central Louisiana.  He has been a resident of the Rochester community since 1976.  He was married to the late Rita Vi Augustine for over 33 years.  He has three sons, four granddaughters and four grandsons.

Dr. Augustine is President & CEO of Biodrill Technical Solutions. The Company produces renewable energy products for the education and research markets. Dr. Augustine previously served over 30 years as President and CEO of Eltrex Industries, a manufacturing, fulfillment, and document processing company.  Before joining Eltrex, he worked for Adage in Boston, Massachusetts as Director of Management Information Systems and Materials Manager.  Prior to that, he worked for the Polaroid Corporation as a Production Manager.  He is a Professor Emeritus at the Rochester Institute of Technology where he served as the Distinguished Minett Professor and taught courses in Entrepreneurship and Starting New Ventures; he also taught Finance in the Executive Leadership Doctoral Program at St. John Fisher College.  He served in the United States Marine Corps, including a year in Vietnam for which he was awarded the Joint Services Commendation Medal (Military Intelligence with Final Top-Secret Clearance).

Dr. Augustine received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Master of Business Administration from Harvard University, and Doctorate in Education from St. John Fisher College. He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha and Sigma Pi Phi fraternities.  He is the recipient of numerous awards both on a local and national level for professional and personal successes.  He was selected as the Small Business Person of the Year by the Small Business Council of Rochester.  He was the recipient of the National Black MBA’s H. Naylor Fitzhugh award and the Boy Scouts of America’s Whitney M. Young, Jr. Service Award. He was inducted into the Rochester Business Hall of Fame in 2002.  He was selected as one of Rochester’s 50 over 50 in 2003 and received the 2003 Catholic Family Center Award.  In 2005 he was inducted into the First Church Divine Hall of Fame and was named the MBE Executive of the Year by UNYRMPCI.  He received the 2006 Housing & Economic Development Award from the NYS Association of Black & Puerto Rican Legislators. In 2007 he received the 71^st Annual Rochester Rotary Award.  In 2008 he was inducted into the International Honor Society in Education, Kappa Delta Pi. David Cowens is a Senior Materials Engineer at Delphi Powertrain System. He received his BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, MI. Later he obtained a Master of Science in Manufacturing Management from Kettering University (formerly known as GMI General Motors Engineering and Management Institute). Dr. Shaun Nelms is the superintendent of East Upper and Lower Schools, formerly East High School in Rochester, N.Y., a new position created through a unique partnership between the New York State Education Department, Rochester City School District, and University of Rochester. As the Educational Partnership Organization (EPO) superintendent for East, Dr. Nelms has been charged with creating a school reform model that can be replicated in urban settings throughout the United States.

In 2018, he was named the first William and Sheila Konar Director for the Center for Urban Education Success (CUES) at the University of Rochester’s Warner School of Education. In this role, Dr. Nelms leads the center’s efforts to support the success of K-12 urban schools both locally and nationally through a combination of research, relationship building, and a commitment to pursue and share best practices.

Prior to his superintendency, Dr. Nelms served as chief of schools for the Rochester City School District, where he supervised the Northeast Zone and successfully led implementation of the New York State Regents reform initiative. His focus on professional development for principals and teachers led to improvements in leadership capacity, instructional delivery, and student achievement. Dr. Nelms also worked as a principal in the Rush-Henrietta School District, and as an assistant principal and social studies teacher in the Greece School District. 

Throughout his career, Dr. Nelms has maintained a focus on helping students to be successful. He has served as a role model and mentor for students and faculty alike, and his legacy includes several successful programs that he established to give all students the opportunity to reach their academic and personal goals. 

Dr. Nelms has been a frequent speaker on topics related to cultural competence, differentiation, and administrative leadership. He is also an associate professor at the University of Rochester’s Warner School of Education, where he teaches courses in human resource management, school governance, and leadership in urban schools. He is active in numerous community organizations and has been honored with several awards for his leadership and work in education. 

A graduate of the University of Rochester, Dr. Nelms received his doctorate in K-12 school leadership and master’s in education. Carol Hoskins Adams was born in Brooklyn, New York, and grew up in Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, and St. Albans, Queens, New York areas. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Michigan State University and a Master of Science degree from City University of New York, Queens College.

Carol Adams has more than 40 years as an experienced educator. Her experiences include teaching elementary education, evaluating New York City Public School District's Title I programs, and teaching in the CUNY-York College's Teacher Preparation Department in New York City. For over 34 years, she served Monroe Community College as a professor, a department chair, and as a dean.

She began her career at Monroe Community College in 1978 when she was hired as an Assistant Professor in the Developmental Studies program where she taught writing, reading, math and study skills. She coordinated the program for several years and was instrumental in transforming the program into an academic department housed within a new division, Developmental Education. She was promoted to full professor in 1987. In 1990, she was recommended by the faculty in the division and appointed by the President and the Board of Trustees, to the position of Dean. Under her guidance, the division was renamed the Division of Interdisciplinary Programs and expanded to include not only academic departments, but support programs and grants.

As a college administrator and Dean of Interdisciplinary Programs, she provided the leadership for the academic departments of Transitional Studies and ESOL/Foreign Languages, campus wide academic support services, Writing Across the Curriculum, the School to College Alliances offices, which included MCC's Dual Credit Program, the Writing and Tutoring Centers, Carl Perkins grant, and the federally funded Student Support Services grant. She was instrumental in the development of several new initiatives at the College including placement testing, teacher preparation, College Orientation, Faculty Orientation and Development, and Dual Credit. Leading the College's Teacher Preparation Advisory Council, they laid the foundation for the creation of the Education Department as well as new programs and services for future teachers.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT: Ms. Adams is very active in the Rochester community and serves on the Board of Directors of the Rochester Area Community Foundation where she is Chair of the Programs Distribution Committee; she is a Charter Member of The Rochester Chapter of Links, Incorporated, and has served as President; she has served as the Education Foundation Chair of the American Association of University Women; she has served as the Vice President for the Board of Directors for Planned Parenthood of the Rochester/Syracuse Region, and has served on the Board of Directors of the Women's Foundation of Genesee Valley. Her other organizational and civic affiliations have included the University of Rochester's Advisory Board Youth and Family Project; Jack and Jill of Rochester, New York; United Way - African-American Leadership Development Program Steering Committee; and the YWCA Board of Directors where she served as Chair of the Nominating Committee and Chair of the Awards Committee. Emerson U. Fullwood is the retired Corporate Vice President of Xerox Corporation, a leading technology and global services company. He joined Xerox in 1972, where he spent 36 years as a corporate executive. Mr. Fullwood directed Xerox’s large global office products and systems business. He served as President of Xerox Worldwide Channels Group, President of Latin America, President of Worldwide Customer Services Group, and Executive Chief Staff Officer of Developing Markets Group. In his most recent assignment, Mr. Fullwood was Executive Chief and Marketing Officer for Xerox North America. He held several executive and general management leadership positions within Xerox through his career.

An active business leader, Mr. Fullwood serves on several business, higher education, and philanthropic boards. Currently, he serves as the Lead Director of SPX Corporation, and a Director of the Vanguard Group and Vanguard funds, and Amerigroup Corporation. He was a former Director of General Signal Corporation. He frequently is named among the nation’s top executives, earning recognition in 2007 from Black Enterprise magazine as one of the “75 Most Powerful African-Americans in Corporate America,” and in 2004, from VAR Business magazine, as one of the “Top 100 Executives” responsible for supporting computer resellers.

Mr. Fullwood currently serves as a board member and/or officer for: University of Rochester Medical Center, North Carolina A&T University (Board Vice-Chair), Roberts Wesleyan College, Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School, Monroe Community College, the Rochester, N.Y. For the five years immediately preceding his relocation to Rochester, he served as the Michigan Department of Labor’s Deputy Director for Administration.  Prior to that role, he directed the Labor department’s Bureau of Community Services, which provided funding to, and oversight of Michigan’s statewide network of community action (i.e., anti-poverty) agencies.

Under Mr. Norman’s leadership, ABC has expanded services and developed new initiatives to address the needs of low-income individuals and families in Monroe and Ontario Counties. Services include Head Start, outpatient substance counseling, AIDS/HIV outreach and education, workforce development, community development, youth violence prevention, youth and adult mentoring, and home weatherization. (At Norman’s retirement, ABC employed over 375 staff and had an annual budget of $25 million).

Over the years, Mr. Norman has been a consultant, speaker or workshop panelist at national and state conferences on topics such as Results Oriented Management and Accountability (ROMA), advocacy, structural inequality, poverty trends, community action history, economic security, and not-for-profit governance. In 2013, he authored a chapter on “Structural Inequality” for the book, The State of Black Rochester 2013: Education + Equity = Employment, published by the Rochester Community Area Foundation.

Mr. Norman received his Bachelor’s in Psychology from Mercer University (Macon, Georgia.), and his Master’s in Social Work from Western Michigan University (Kalamazoo, Michigan), where he also completed extensive post-graduate coursework in Public Administration. In 2009, he earned a certificate in Leadership/Executive Coaching. He and Lois Williams-Norman have four adult sons.

Dr. Tshibangu is a Board Certified Physician with over 35 years of practice specializing in the field of OBGYN.  He began his career in healthcare as an Obstetrician Gynecologist in the Rochester, New York area and currently has full admitting privileges at Highland Hospital and Strong Memorial Hospital.  He achieved his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Amherst College, his Medical Degree from University of Rochester, and completed his residency at Affiliated Hospitals of the University of Rochester.

Dr. Tshibangu has continued to demonstrate leadership and management skills to accompany his MD practice, including serving as Chief of Residence at Affiliated Hospitals,  Chief of Service of OB-GYN at Rochester Medical Group, P.C. and Group Health of the Genesee Valley in New York as well as  Founder of Southeast OB-GYN,P.C where he is the current Managing Partner .

His broad expertise in the medical and healthcare industry includes responsibility for all aspects of managing a multi-specialty group including strategic planning, implementation of new products and services, budgeting, interacting with business and financial partners, direction and daily operation of staff, and overall management of operations.

He is a published medical practitioner whose expertise includes  not only the field of OB-GYN but also , Patient Safety, Healthcare management, OSHA standards and requirements,  as well as  medical staffing and employment.  He is currently is a Fellow of American Congress of OB-GYN, and Member of both American College of Physician Executives and National Medical Association.

In addition to his vast experience in clinical OB-GYN practice, clinical research, and private practice management, he has extensive experience with Community Service and working abroad to support non-profit organizations.  He is the President of RTST Foundation, an organization focused on providing resources to assist the Democratic Republic of Congo to address its education and healthcare needs.

Dr. Tshibangu’s combination of clinical education and experience, coupled with his expertise in leadership and management, make him a valuable asset to the Twin Palms management team, particularly when thinking through best practices and approaches to evaluate, design and implement strategies to assist clients to reach their full potential.  This will be especially important in areas including healthcare, safety, and compliance.
